"Golden Wave" Reviews

The sound pond I expect from Marnie has a few new waves in this album. Anyone who has enjoyed such previous albums as Journeys will enjoy Golden Wave as well.

Blessed, Come Home is an improvised vocal, harp and synthesizer blend that gives the best of folk and sacred space music. Liquid Light provides an ethereal surrounding for Marni'es harp. Communion features a solo vocal by Severin Behnen with synthesizer and a choral accompaniment; the warmth of the melody is matched by the warm strong voices.

Angel Dance is rhythmic, light and filled with the bird-like trilling of Max's flute. A gentle dance of sounds and rhythms, it is truly very danceable. Gratitude is a blending of Marnie's voice and Severin's piano and voice in harmonious sound. No words are used but the ambient vocals produce a charming and delicate musical effect. Tonal Union is also a vocal piece without words, using the sound and qualities of the voices as instruments. Eye of the Storm is played by rhythm instruments and features the sound of the wind. This is light, ethereal, vibratory music, full of emotion and peace. Wonderful for relaxing, movement and healing.
